About Us
The Mariners Volleyball Club strives to provide as many athletes as possible the opportunity to participate in Club Volleyball, at the level appropriate for their developmental abilities.
MVC WELCOMES STEPHEN EPP AS
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Stephen brings over 25 years of experience in volleyball, spanning coaching and leadership roles at the high school, club, high-performance, and post-secondary levels. Prior to becoming Executive Director, he served for nine years as the Vancouver Island Regional Manager for Volleyball BC, overseeing all club programming, events, and high-performance initiatives in the region. During this time, he supported the development of athletes and coaches who have gone on to compete in CCAA, U Sports, NCAA, and National Team programs.

What's new at Mariners Volleyball Club
2025 LIBERO / PASSING TRAINING
GR’s. 9 – 12
Our libero and passing training will focus on developing strong foundational skills in serve receive, defensive positioning and ball control.
Age-appropriate drills, game-like scenarios and technical feedback will be provided to help athletes build confidence and consistency as backcourt specialists or merely to improve their current forearm passing abilities regardless of position. Athletes will delve into proper movement mechanics, reading cues and communication.
Training will be tailored to each athlete’s stage of development.

LEARN TO SET TRAINING

These training sessions will focus on developing proper hand positioning, footwork and decision-making to become more confident
and effective setters on the court.
Through focused drills and game-like scenarios, players will sharpen their fundamentals, accuracy, consistency and court awareness.
